First thing first, Step aside superman I loved superman from childhood until today, but I have to say G.One is my new favorite superhero.
SO I’m not one much for cheesiness in movies hence I thought this movie could have started better. I was laughing at the desi-girl, lecifer scene, but then the real movie started and I was completely glued to my seat.
A father trying to fill the gap between his generation and his son’s and a mom caught in between trying to keep the peace. Desperate after successive failure, he finally listened and created the ultimate super-villain, that cannot be destroyed/lose. Somehow this seem to be more realistic than fiction, you create an artificial intelligence and eventually it will accelerate to having a mind of it’s own.
Ra.One cannot accept lost, broke into our world looking to annihilate his opponent, lucifer. Shekar being a father, realizes that his son is in danger sacrificed himself to save the kid. The kid realizes that his father was not killed in an accident, but by Ra.One and the only one that can defeat Ra.One will be to bring G.One into this world too.
I am a sucker for an amazing superhero and the thing that makes one great is that each superhero is very knowledgeable in science. G.One was created by a tech geek, who created the game to gain his son’s love. I was in a part of science heaven while I watched this movie. The graphics was amazing and the fight scenes were kick-ass.
Besides the first couple of minutes, the movie did not disappoint. I enjoyed every minute of the movie, glued to my seat and the time went by so quickly that I hadn’t realized that half the movie had passed already. Another aspect that I completely loved about this movie, it ended with the possibility of a second part. I am sure they will take advantage of that, make a part 2 and that will be along the line of more the merrier.
I didn’t get to see it on the big screen, yes, I know the 3D would have been epic, but I did buy the, um, (unoffical) dvd copy. Will watch it as the first given open slot.
